FAQ
Welcome to the 50:HERTZ Club Train FAQ! We’ve compiled all the information you need for an unforgettable experience during ADE 2024. Below you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions to help ensure you’re fully prepared for this unique event.
The 50:HERTZ Club Train is a new concept debuting at ADE 2024. It’s a moving club with two stages and two chill-out areas aboard a train, allowing guests to enjoy live music while traveling across the Netherlands. The experience combines music, art, and movement, providing a one-of-a-kind setting for fans and artists alike. The train will host eight events over 48 hours, offering a diverse range of performances across different genres, including house, techno, and more.
There will be eight separate events over 48 hours. Each event lasts approximately four hours, during which the train will be traveling through the Netherlands. Events will be staggered, including daytime, sunset, night, and sunrise sessions, offering something for every vibe and energy level.
The 50:HERTZ Club Train departs from Amsterdam Central Station. We recommend arriving 30 minutes before departure to allow time for security and ticket checks. Boarding will close 15 minutes before the scheduled departure, and late arrivals will not be allowed to board. The platform and departure details will be communicated via email and on our website in the days leading up to the event.
Yes, all guests will go through a security check upon arrival at the platform. Security will check for prohibited items, including drugs, weapons, alcohol, and other illegal substances. This is mandatory and is part of our commitment to a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone on board. These checks are required by the ADE organization and the municipality of Amsterdam.
The train operates on a strict schedule, and due to the nature of the event, late arrivals will not be allowed to board once the doors are closed. No refunds will be provided for missed departures. We encourage all attendees to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
The train will be in motion for the entire duration of the event. Leaving the train is not permitted during the journey, except in the case of emergencies or if you are removed by security for misconduct. For the sunrise showcases, there will be a brief stop at Amsterdam Central Station, where attendees can exit the train. However, you will not be able to re-board once you leave.
Yes, the minimum age for attendees is 18 years. Valid, original identification (no copies or photos) will be required at check-in. Entry will be denied without proper ID, and no refunds will be issued if you fail to provide proof of age.
We recommend dressing comfortably but stylishly, as you would for any club night. Since the train will be moving, wear comfortable shoes with good grip to ensure your safety while walking. The temperature inside the train will be regulated, but it may still fluctuate as people move in and out of the different areas, so we suggest layering your clothing for comfort.
No outside drinks are allowed, and only small snacks (like hand fruit or energy bars) are permitted. We’ll have food and beverages available for purchase on board, so you won’t go hungry or thirsty. Alcoholic beverages will be sold at the bar, and we encourage all attendees to drink responsibly.
For most events, the train will be in continuous motion for the full four-hour duration. However, for sunrise showcases, there will be a stop at Amsterdam Central Station. During this stop, guests may exit the train but will not be allowed to re-board once they have left.
Although rare, technical malfunctions can happen. In the event of an issue affecting one or more wagons, the event will continue in the remaining functional areas, and no refunds will be issued. 50:HERTZ is not responsible for the technical operations of the train, as these are managed by Rail Experts, a trusted company with a strong safety record. In case of a more serious issue that affects the entire train and results in event cancellation, refunds will be provided to all affected ticket holders.
If you need to bring medication, make sure it’s prescription medication with a valid doctor’s note, as this may be requested by security staff at the entrance. For safety, we recommend informing the medical team on board about your condition. You may be asked to store your medication with our medical team, who will administer it to you as needed. Please note that the train will be in motion, so make sure you’ve taken all necessary precautions for your health before boarding.
Unfortunately, due to space limitations and the layout of the train, it is not fully accessible to wheelchair users. The narrow corridors and the design of the event areas make it difficult to accommodate wheelchairs safely. However, for individuals who need to rest, there will be seating available in the chill-out areas. We recommend contacting us if you have specific mobility concerns, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Yes, tickets are transferable through platforms like Ticketswap or via private arrangements. However, 50:HERTZ is not responsible for disputes or issues that arise from private ticket transfers, so please handle transfers carefully.
We’ll send you important information regarding the platform, boarding, and departure details via email in the lead-up to the event. Additionally, you can always check the ADE website or the 50:HERTZ website for updates and last-minute changes.
Refunds will only be provided in the case of event cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control. Since the event takes place on a moving train, no refunds will be issued for technical malfunctions unless the event is entirely canceled. We recommend reviewing all event information and keeping track of updates to avoid disappointment.
The bar will be stocked with alcoholic beverages, and we ask that all attendees drink responsibly. The bar staff reserves the right to deny service to anyone who appears intoxicated. A portion of the bar revenue (10%) will go directly to the performing artists as part of our support for the music community.
We’re proud to support the Celebrate Safe initiative, which focuses on creating a safe, enjoyable environment for all attendees. Below are key aspects of this initiative that we encourage everyone to follow:
Celebrate Safe Guidelines:
- Take care of yourself and others: Discuss your plans with your friends and make sure everyone gets home safely.
- Know your limits: If you’re consuming alcohol or other substances, do so responsibly. Always test any substances beforehand and respect the zero-tolerance policy toward illegal drugs at our events.
- Protect your ears: Bring earplugs and avoid standing too close to speakers to protect your hearing.
- Take breaks: Hydrate, cool down, and relax in the chill-out areas. Your safety is more important than anything else.
- Respect boundaries: Seek consent, respect personal boundaries, and report any harassment to our security team. Mutual respect creates the best party atmosphere.
- First aid: If you or someone else feels unwell, don’t hesitate to reach out to the first aid team. They’re there to help, and your safety is our priority.
- Get home safely: Plan ahead for your journey home. Never drive if you’ve consumed substances, and make sure to use safe transportation methods.
